To complement the beauty of this area and to offer the opportunity the stay in comfort within the National Park, Barrington Wilderness Cottages were established in 1996. These fully self contained cottages sleep up to 5 comfortably with a queen bedroom downstairs and a trio bunk in the loft bedroom. A gas log fire ensures your comfort throughout the cooler months and gas appliances in the kitchenette enable fast efficient cooking if needed. A spa bath and undercover parking compliment these 4 star inclusions.

The Cottages are adjacent to the historic Barrington Guest House (circa 1930) a traditional holiday destination for generations of families from all over Australia.

For over 25 years our manager, Brad Lewis, has been an integral part of the local community. Brad and his family have called the valley home for much of this time and his knowledge of the rainforest and surrounding areas is unsurpassed.

Situated at Salisbury ( via Dungog ) in the Upper Williams River area of the Barrington Tops, this untouched piece of Australia abounds in native bird, plant and animal life as well as five different types of forest within walking distance of your cottage.

From your cottage, the many bushwalks take you through pristine sub tropical rainforest, across creeks and gullys as well as crossing the Williams River. The walks can go from half an hour to all day depending on your requirements and fitness. To cool off, take a dip in one of the many swimming holes along the way or just sit on a rock and be swept away by the natural beauty of the rainforest. Play tennis on our own court

For well over 100 years people have ventured to this unique part of the Barrington Tops to relax and enjoy all that the rainforest and mountains have to offer. Although the accommodation is very different now, the rainforest is just 100 years older, and even more beautiful.
